So far blogger has helped me understand what my classmates are researching about. Also, if I'm getting stuck during my research I can turn to blogger to see what and how my classmates are doing.
I also liked the quote Ms. Ingram put up about from our textbook
"Good writing comes from returning to your ideas on your own and with your classmates, reconsidering them, and revising them as your thinking develops. This is not something you can do with any specificity unless you have written down your ideas (12)."
I think posting a comment on another persons blog was a great idea and can help us learn from one another.
I see blogger as a world between me and my classmates...If every English class in America would use blogger I think we could really benefit from other students from all over the world.
I also think that writing and posting ideas in Blogger helps us feel more comfortable as a writer since I'm sure 95% of us have a Facebook, Twitter, or some sort of social media tool.

1)- I am writing to an audience who is interested in learning more about the advantages and disadvantages of a universal health care plan. I am writing help college students understand how the new system works and to inform the pros and cons to those who don't understand it.
I think my topic is "timely" because my audience will be reading to have a better understanding of the health care system.
I am invested in researching about health care because there is always a lot of talk about it on the news and personally I didn't have a clue what was going on. I care about my topic because I want people to have a clear understanding of what health care is and what they will be paying for in 2014 when the bill takes affect. My grandma is a high school english teacher and has always complained about how she has to teach on topics the state provides. Also, your forced to go to high school compared to having to pay tuition for college. So, I think college professors want there students to learn and care more since there paying thousands of dollars.
2) Yes, I have seen multiple view points in my research. So far I have seen a liberal and conservative approach. With the liberal approach being for healthcare and the conservative being against healthcare. I have also read about serval doctors viewpoints.
3) The most interesting fact I have read about was that 67% of the bankruptcies in 2008 were for health needed operations and the patient couldn't pay for the needed surgery.
4) Jordan Buchanan's blog about milk http://jordanbuchanan.blogspot.com/2012/02/blogging-assignment-2.html?showComment=1330227157344#c2396382504095704653

first blog assignment
My research question/inquiry question is going to be on various pharmaceutical medicine and the tolls and effects it does on your body and mind. I settled on this topic because I am interested on how good or bad certain pills can be.
I think its important to address the topic of pills and the side effects because I believe the pharmiceutical are more worried about how much money they are making over the the effects of the medicine.
I was planning on using some of the 2010 the healthcare reform as part of the scholars. I have also read online about different opinions about how some of the drugs are bad and good. For example...with pain killers...If you have a serious operation and need them but on the side effect they are highly addictive.
2nd blog post:
Ive decided to completely change my research topic to the Health Care crisis in the United States. I want to study on why the U.S. doesn't have a universal health coverage when the majority of developed nations have one. I was having difficulty finding information about various pharmaceutical studies that weren't very argumentative. Over the past few years there has a been a lot of talk on the news about health care and to be honest I didn't understand what was going on. I also believe there will be more information about the health care problem and I am sure theres plenty of people for and against a universal coverage.
My inquiry question is going to be.."Why doesn't the U.S. have Universal Health Care"
The Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 was passed by Obama in 2010 and is supposed to take affect in 2014. In my essay I would like to go over the pros and cons of the bill and what different scholars have to say about it.
From what Ive researched so far families who made less then $88,000 a year will benefit most from the bill. Also small business owners are going to suffer from the bill. If your a small business owner and you have to purchase health care for all of your employees with each premium being around $5000-$10000 and you have 5 employees...thats 25-50 grand extra a year. How will the business owner be able to afford this? Simple, he will have to cut one of the employees. So, is the health care worth loosing a job? How many jobs will the health care cause to loose? Some estimate close to 100,000
I think my biggest challenges for this essay are going to be understanding the different government articles about the health care as some that I have read are quite confusing.
My biggest advice to my peers would be to read and re-read the MLA format and go over and over again on how to make up your sources. Unfortunately, at Campbell University (my previous college) I didn't do my sources correct and ended up causing me to make a D in English 1102...causing me to have to re-take it at UNCC.
